Day 1: Yangon (-/L/D)

Arrive Yangon International Airport. Local English-speaking guide will meet you at the airport. Have lunch at the local restaurant and check in hotel. In the afternoon, will visit Colonial buildings in down town, Mahar Bundola Park and Independence monument. And then St. Mary Cathedral (The Cathedral of St Mary the Virgin is Yangon’s biggest Roman Catholic church. Its neo-Gothic style is reminiscent of cathedrals built around the same time in northern Europe, but the inside sets it apart: The colorful bricks offer a livelier feel than its often-austere contemporaries. St Mary’s Cathedral Church was one of two major Christian churches built at the turn of the 20th century.). Dinner will be served at Karaweik restaurant with culture show. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Yangon (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, Visit to the Catholic Home for The Aged. The home was officially recognized as a “Home for the Aged” by the Ministry of social Welfare on 11st November 1998. Currently the home was rated for 2nd level of “Home for the aged” by the Ministry of social Welfare. The state government from the Ministry of social Welfare provides rice, suitable clothes, and cash which are well utilized for the daily needs of the Institute.
The objectives of the Catholic Home are -
- To look after all the residents with compassionate love and kindness regardless of their nationality, race and religion.
- To create an atmosphere of joy, happiness and peace so that they could live their lives peacefully and tranquilly according to one’s own faith and culture while waiting for their final moment to depart from this earthly life.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 PM. After lunch, will go to Chauk Htutgyi Pagoda,where you can see the very impressive 65 meters long and 16 meters high Chauk Htat Gyi Buddha image is wearing a golden robe; the right arm of the Buddha is supporting the back of the head. The Reclining Buddha image is decorated with very expressive colors, white face, red lips, blue eye shadow, golden robe and red finger nails. The soles of the feet contain 108 segments in red and gold colors that show images representing the 108 lakshanas or auspicious characteristics of the Buddha. The sun set will be at Shwe Dagon Pagoda. Dinner will be served at Kan Taw Min (Golden Duck Restaurant). Day break after dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: Kyaikhtiyo (B/L/D)

Day trip will start at 7:00 Am driving to Bago. On the way to Bago there is a War Cemetery in Htouk Kyant where you can see the grave yard of British Soldiers. In Bago there are many Buddhist Stupas, Temples and Monasteries. Before lunch will visit Khatkut Wine Buddhist Monastery where you can see hundreds of monks having their last meals of the day. Lunch will be served at Kyaw Swa restaurant. There is Kanbawza Thadi Palace which is ancient Mon Dynasty time. We will visit St. Joseph Catholic Church and meet with the Rector of Catholic Seminary - Parish of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, known as Bago parish, is an old mission started around 1884 by MEP. St. Joseph’s Intermediate Minor Seminary is also situated in this town. This parish has got 3 sub-stations out of the city. One diocesan priest and 3 Servite Sisters are doing the mission work. There are 150 Catholic families belonging to this Parish.From Bago, proceed to Kyeik Hto to visit Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site in Mon State, Burma. It is a small pagoda built on the top of a granite boulder covered with gold leaves pasted on by its male devotees. According to legend, the Golden Rock itself is precariously perched on a strand of the Buddha's hair. Overnight in Kyaiktiyo.

Day 4: Hpa An (B/L/D)

After breakfast will continue to Hpa An.

Will visit, St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Church in Hpa an. The high lights of Hpa An are its significant caves and karst mountain scenery. There you can visit an impressive monastery called Kyauk Kalap, located uniquely on top of a rock formation in a small reservoir. From the monastery, a tempting adventure is waiting for you to climb the Mount Zwegabin which has a lot of beautiful sceneries along the way up and there await spectacular views from the top. After lunch continue to Kawgun cave, where you can see thousands of ancient Buddhas statues are still in excellent condition with various ages, shapes, expressions, and poses. The thing that makes visitors ‘wow’ here is undoubtedly the wall sculptures. Many small Buddhas images were carved unbelievably sophisticated on the wall and all the way to its ceiling. Kawgun cave is of great value for history, religion, culture, and architecture to study former Burmese. Have dinner and back to hotel for the day break.

Day 5: Hpa An (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will go to the limestone caves famous in Hpa An. Among several caves, Saddar is a must-see one in Hpa An. It is about 20 km from Hpa.At the beginning of the entrance to Saddar Cave, there are two elephants and a staircase in the middle leading inside. Stupas, wall golden frescoes, and Buddhas statues are placed all along the walking path. After visiting the pagoda, there is one road leading to the underground part of the cave. Be prepared with a torch if going alone since it is pretty dark down there. After more than 15-minute walk, the end of the cave or the so-called ‘Hell on Earth’ is a home for thousands of bats fluttering around screaming hysterically which might be annoying at first but it takes some time to get used to. For photographers, this is an ideal place for inspiration and creativity. From there will proceed to Bat Cave, one of the must-see destinations in Hpa An, the home of an endless stream of over 100,000s of bats, will sure give adventurous visitors immense satisfaction. Have lunch at the local restaurant. From there proceed to Kan Thar Yar Lake, lying just on the south side of Hpa An, is absolutely an ideal destination for those who are eager to keep away from an urban life . Back to hotel for the day break. Overnight in Hpa An.

Day 6: Mawlamyine (B/L/D)

After breakfast continue to Mawlamyine. The First Baptist Church. Founded by American Adeniran Judson in 1827, this was the country's first Baptist church. In addition to this place of worship, Judson's legacy also includes being the first person to translate the Bible into Burmese. As a result of his work, today Myanmar has the third-highest population of Baptists in the world, after the USA and India. Lunch at local restaurant and check in hotel after lunch. From Mawlamyine will continue to Thanbyuzayat, 40 miles south of Mawlamyine, was the western terminus of the infamous Burma–Siam Railway, dubbed the ‘Death Railway’ by the thousands of Allied prisoners of war (POWs) and Asian laborer’s who were forced by the Japanese military to build it. Half a mile west of town lies the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, containing 3771 graves of Allied POWs who died building the railway. On the way back have dinner at local restaurant. Back to hotel for the day break.

Day 7: Bilu Island Mawlamyine (B/L/D)

After breakfast, will visit to Bilu Kyun (Ogre Island) isn’t a hideaway for nasty monsters. Rather, it’s a beautiful island directly west of Mawlamyine. Roughly the size of Singapore, Bilu Kyun comprises 78 villages that are home to more than 200,000 people. It's a green, fecund place, with palm-studded rice fields and fruit plantations, and it has the vibe of a tropical island, only without the beaches. A bridge now links Bilu Kyun to the mainland, allowing travelers to drive there themselves. Have lunch at local restaurant and back to Mawlamyine. Continue to Holy Family Cathedral of Mawlamyine. Will attend mass at the church and have dinner at the local restaurant. Back to hotel for the day break.

Day 8: Yangon (B/L/D)

After breakfast back to Yangon. Lunch will be served on the way to Yangon. Arrived Yangon around evening and have dinner at local restaurant. Back to hotel for the day break.

Day 9: Loikaw (B/L/D)

Yangon to Loikaw by flight. Loikaw city tour, upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. (Official check-in time is 14:00 pm and early check in is subjected to room availability).In the afternoon, will visit Kayah State Cultural Museum to discover some detail on the tribes of Kayah State, as well as their varying traditional dresses and weaponry; perhaps its most interesting feature is the central totem pole that is also a major feature of many of Kayah villages, an animist tradition pre-dating Buddhism or Christianity.(Note: Museum is closed on Mondays and public holidays.)Afterwards, will visit Natural Dyeing workshop. In here, you can learn about how to dye Kayah traditional fabric and clothes with the use of flowers, leaves and fruits.Then, head to Taung Gwe Pagoda to enjoy the sunset and panoramic view of Loikaw.

Day 10: Hta Nee La Leh Village (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you’ll take 30minutes drive to visit Hta Nee La Leh village where the home of Kayah Community. Upon arrival, you’ll visit Community Centre. Then, you’ll visit the Kayhtoebo site and Hunting Shrine, to learn about local beliefs and spiritual life. In addition, you’ll visit the Lotus Pond. This is a sacred and scenic site. Here, you’ll listen to the local legend of Tsudanu, a prince and princess who finally ascend to heaven as mythical Kinaree birds. Enjoy a delicious Kayah Barbecue lunch with cultural exchange at local home. This afternoon, you’ll visit a local musician’s house, listen to traditional Instruments and try your hand playing them. Then, you’ll also visit another house to learn about traditional Kayah dress .Afterwards, you’ll transfer back to your hotel where remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 11: Pan Pet (Kayan Community) (B/L/D)

Loikaw – Pan Pet (Kayan Community) – Loikaw After breakfast, you’ll take an one hour drive to Pan Pet Village where the home of Kayan Community (long neck women).On arrival, you are welcomed in a local home where you will enjoy a hot drink and a simple, local snack. Next, you will set off on a moderately challenging trek, through lush, shady, forest. After a short climb (30-40 minutes), you’ll enjoy over 3 hours of continual, great views. En route, local guides will show various edible plants and herbal medicines which are used by community members in their ‘jungle larder.’A highlight of the trip is arriving at the original settlement of Pan Pet, perched on a mountain top, where evidence of past habitation is visible. This is considered one of the first Kayan settlements of Kayah state.Enjoy jungle picnic lunch on the way.The trek ends in Rang Ku hamlet, where guests can meet the famous Kayan people (also known as Long Neck Karen), who are a symbol of Kayah state. Enjoy learning a few words of Kayan language and interacting with these fun-loving and artistic people. There are also opportunities to buy local handicrafts.Afterwards, you’ll transfer back to your hotel where remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 12: Inle (B/L/D)

From Loikaw to Inle by boat. On the way there are villages where you can explore the ways of life of local people. Have lunch on the way back to Inle, at local restaurant in the village. Arrive back to Inle in the evening and have dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Inle.

Day 13: Inle (B/L/D)

Inle Lake is in the Shan Hills of Myanmar. At its southwestern edge, Phaung Daw Oo Paya is a tiered pagoda with gilded Buddha statues. Inle Lake, natural and unpolluted, is famous for its scenic beauty and the unique leg-rowing of the Inthas, the native lake dwellers. Inle Floating Gardens
Inle Lake has a unique style of aquaculture. The Inthas live on
the lake and also live off of it, thanks to their floating gardens.
Intha farmers grow flowers and vegetables such as tomatoes and
squash on long strips of floating land. The land is formed through
the collection of tangled water hyacinth, weeds and reeds that
accumulate on the rim of the lake; the Inthas tie the land down
to the bottom of the lake with long bamboo poles.

5-Day Market—A Mobile Bazaar One of Inle Lake's most popular and picturesque sights, this famous market includes everything from textiles to Buddha statues. The market rotates each day between 5 different villages in various locations bordering the lake, with all trade conducted from small traditional wooden boats. The best time to go is in the early morning, to avoid boat jams. Local Shan and Intha people, as well as numerous Pa-O villagers and the long-necked Padaung, converge on the bustling water market to sell their wares. This colorful and animated gathering is the best place in the Inle Lake area for observing the many different and unique local cultures. Location: Nampan Village, Nyaung Shwe Township.

Shopping at Inle Lake
A number of ethnic minority populations reside in the hills surrounding Inle Lake, including the Shan, Pa-O, Taung Yo, Danu, Kayah and Danaw peoples. The unique crafts produced in their villages are showcased daily on the lake through the many floating markets. While visitors here won’t be able to find the modern malls or commercial shopping areas available in large cities, they will not be disappointed with the vast array of exquisite goods available for purchase at Inle Lake. Hand-woven textiles made of silk and lotus root, items from gold and silversmith workshops, and yet more ethnic crafts await shoppers.

Red Mountain Estate Vineyard—Relaxing Views
One of only two wineries in Myanmar, the Red Mountain Estate Vineyard produces nine different varieties of wine made from locally grown grapes. You can visit the Vineyard for inexpensive wine tastings and vineyard tours. Perched on the lower slopes of the mountain, the winery is a perfect place for relaxing at sunset with a cheese platter, a glass of wine, and some good company. From the outdoor terrace, visitors can take in the panoramic view towards Nyang Shwe and down the valley towards Inle Lake itself. Dinner will be served at local restaurant and back to the hotel.

Day 14: Mandalay (B/L/D)

With the early morning flight from Heho to Mandalay. From the airport straight to – Amarapura sightseeing. From there have lunch and check in to the hotel. Rest for a while and start visiting to the churches in Mandalay. Attend evening Mass there. Dinner at local restaurant and back to hotel for the day break. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 15: Mingun (B/L/D)

Mingun sightseeing. Have lunch at local restaurant. Mandalay city tour, Shwe Kyaung, Ku Tho Taw and Sunset will be at Mandalay Hill. Dinner will be served at local restaurant and overnight in Mandalay.

Day 16: Pyin Oo Lwin (B/L/D)

Mandalay to Pyin Oo Lwin by private car. The driving time will be approximately 1: 30 hrs. We are now going to Catholic Major Seminary School. Institute of Philosophy. St Joseph's Catholic Major Seminary was founded in 19xx for the formation of Catholic priests for the ecclesiastical province of Myanmar. It is located in the Mandalay Archdiocese, 22 Cherry Pyin Oo Lwin (May Myo). The Seminary provides course of Philosophy in human, spiritual, pastoral and academic formation. From there will visit Botanical Garden. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After Lunch, we will go to National Races Village. From there will go to Pwe Gout waterfall near Pyin Oo Lwin. On the return, will drop in to the shops where you can buy local woolen sweat clothes, some local sweets and snacks. Dinner will be served at local restaurant and overnight in Pyin Oo Lwin.

Day 17: Bagan (B/L/D)

The Ananda Temple located in Bagan, Myanmar is a Buddhist temple built in 1105 AD during the reign (1084–1113) of King Kyanzittha of the Pagan Dynasty.
Thatbyinnyu Temple, Sabbannu or "the Omniscient", is a famous temple located in Bagan (formerly Pagan), built in the mid-12th century during the reign of King Alaungsithu.[1]:166–167 It is adjacent to Ananda Temple. Thatbyinnyu Temple is shaped like a cross, but is not symmetrical. The temple has two primary storeys, with the seated Buddha image located on the second storey. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant and check in to the hotel after lunch. Rest for a while and continue sightseeing in the evening till 6 pm. Day 18: Mt. Popa (B/L/D)

After breakfast, will visit to Popa. Mount Popa is an extinct volcano 1518 meters above sea level, and located in central Myanmar in the region of Mandalay about 50 km southeast of Bagan in the Pegu Range. It can be seen from the Ayeyarwady River as far away as 60 km in clear weather. And have lunch at Popa Garden Resort. And back to Bagan and rest for a while and have dinner on the sunset dinner on the boat. Bagan Sunset Boat Ride with Cocktails. After dinner go to the hotel and rest for the day.

Day 19: Bagan (B/L/D)

Bagan – After morning early breakfast, transfer to airport for Bagan domestic flight. Start visiting Nyaung U market – which is full of local products, Proceed to Gold gilded Shwe Zi Gon Pagoda – built by the founder of Myanmar Bagan dynasty king Anawrahta in 11th century, Ananda Temple -an accredited Mon ethnic architecture and most beautiful temple in Bagan, Manuha Temple -constructed by a Mon King. That Bin Nyu Temple – an attractive brick mason architecture in South- East Asia. Gaw Daw Palin Temple- The finest brick structure built in Bagan, visit the lacquer ware industry and their process works. Dinner will be provided at Nanda restaurant with Puppet show. E Bike tour to explore the magnificent temples and ruins with the flexibility of being able to stop at any time to take photos and embrace the surroundings. Day 20: Yangon (B/L/D)

Bagan – Yangon by flight. After morning breakfast transfer to airport for Yangon flight. Lunch will be at local restaurant in Yangon . Check in hotel. Bogyoke Aung San Market is a major bazaar located in Pabedan township in central Yangon, Myanmar. Known for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets, the market is a major tourist destination, dominated by antique, Burmese handicraft and jewellery shops, art galleries, and clothing stores Yangon half day sightseeing. Day 21: Departure (B/-/-)
